Yes I know we’re just getting into all the beautiful AW make up collections on offer, Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless, MAC Fire and Ice and of course the beautiful Nars fall look, but this I really cannot wait for!
Now I’m not a massive Nars devotee, don’t get me wrong I appreciate the beautiful packaging and professional quality but to me this has always seemed like a real ‘luxury’ brand, and one I can’t quite stretch too financially, as it would just be too much of a gamble if, who knows why, I didnt get on with the product. Today however, this attitude has changed and I can honestly say Nars is now at the top of my Xmas wishlist.
Lucky old me was able to have a sneak preview of the offerings from Nars due for SS12, and they of course did not disappoint! The colour additions to their already fanatstic offer of lip glosses, lipsticks and eye shadows look absolutely gawjus!!! Not to mention the expanse of the nail polish collection thanks to a collaboration with one of THE most sought after designers of the past couple of seasons….no I’ll keep that one as a surprise!! There’s also some very exciting activities scheduled in for everyone’s favourite type of ‘Orgasm’!!!
So I don’t want to give too much away but take a peek at the beautiful eyeshadow combos I managed to nab for myself!
The sight of this packaging just makes me salivate!
Colour - Paramaribo
This duo contains the most perfect shades of green I could ever hope for, apologies for the photography it really doesn’t do the colours justice. The one on the left is not as light as the camera has picked up and they both have flecks of gold in them making them both really gorgeous jewel tones and to me they both do look really ‘expensive’ in terms of their pigmentation and they of course have that beautiful Nars creamy consistency we all love. Build them up and you can create a really inviting and subtle smokey eye on summer evenings!!
Colour - Douce France
A pretty trio of pinks and another sophisticated alternative to the run of the mill smokey eye for summer. I think these are perfect for creating sexy, enhanced and attention stealing eyes without looking too over done in high summer. I find pink a really flattering colour and really compliments the green in my eyes, great for when I want a ‘different’ look but not too dramatic.
Do you like the look of SS12?
What’s your favourite Nars product?
