Whip it like Minaj...

Oh yes, you've seen that correctly, another celebrity fragrance graces the shelves of Selfridges, sending 15 year olds everywhere into a state of hysteria.

I got up bright and early last week to spend a very 'Pink Friday' having a sneak peek at the hugely anticipated fragrance offering from the number one barb herself, Nicki Minaj. Describing itself as sassy, fearless and feminine the fragrance features all the expected sweet and fruity notes of vanilla, boisenberry and a few florals thrown in for good measure. But the notes aren't really the talking point of this fragrance, just think of your ideal fragrance as a young girl in school and you'll get the idea. By far the best thing about this fragrance is the launch itself. Although I wouldn't class myself as a die hard barb, and not to get all business like on you, the marketing around this fragrance is fantastic for the target group. Currently stocked exclusively at Selfridges, the first few hundred lucky barbs can get their hands on 4 limited edition outfits based on some of Nicki's most signature looks. I have to admit I did enjoy dressing up my bottle and I really liked how the outfit comes pre wrapped in it's very own box. I now have my very own Minaj doll!

Outfits above are Whip it like Nicki, The Duchess of Pink and Starships Nicki. With a new one released this week called British Pink, a nod to Nicki's love for London. I absolutely loved the girl in the middle, she really worked it like the Minaj.

Of course it wouldn't have been a true Pink Friday launch without pink macaroons!

What do you think of fragrance according to Nicki?

Grab your limited edish Pink Friday fragrance instore at Selfridges now or online here (but you won't get the cute outfits)

  2. As much as I love Minaj, I don't think I would rate her purfume - vanilla? No, I don't think I own a single purfume with a vanilla note inside. Like you say, the advertising is by far the best part! It's a pink barbie wonderland.

    Thanks for sharing doll!
